José Gourmet was founded in Portugal in 2008 by Luís Mendonça and Adriano Ribeiro, who commissioned 12 Portuguese illustrators to design the tins, a collaboration that's since grown to nearly 90 artists and designers, so that each tin doubles up as a small, standalone piece of art.
