Papa Anzóis Sardines in Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil

Sardines packed in organic extra virgin olive oil by Papa Anzóis, made by Conserveira do Arade in the Algarve, Portugal. The cannery was founded in 2015 on the banks of the river Arade, where a small team cans fish caught off the Algarve coast by hand, dehydrating the fish rather than steaming it before it goes in the tin. The result is firm, meaty sardines with a clean flavour, sitting in plenty of good oil, with nothing added but salt. Eat them straight from the tin, or use the oil as a dressing.
