Jose Gourmet Smoked Salmon in Extra Virgin Olive Oil

A familiar favourite. Though the salmon itself is Norwegian, not Portuguese, it's smoked by master smoker Stefan Palsson, then canned in Porto with Portuguese olive oil. José Gourmet was founded in Portugal in 2008 by Luís Mendonça and Adriano Ribeiro, best known for wrapping their tins in illustrations commissioned from nearly 90 Portuguese artists and designers, so each can doubles as a small piece of art. The salmon is never frozen before smoking, giving it a soft, buttery texture that holds up well in the tin.
